[Abk. für Intel Application Launch Accelerator], ein Programm zur Beschleunigung des Aufrufs von Anwendungen, genau genommen ein optimiertes Defragmentierprogramm (Fragmentieren), das häufig benutzte Anwendungen so auf der Festplatte verteilt, dass die Festplatte zum Starten des Programms möglichst wenig Zeit benötigt. Diese von der Firma Intel entwickelte Technologie wurde in das Defragmentierprogramm von Windows 98 und in die Folgeversionen integriert.
